Night Bass Jig & Eel Combo
Capt. Ant reports an EPIC night of Striper fishing.  I’ve been on the bass boat over ten year between mate and captain and never have I witnessed a feeding frenzy in the shallows of the lighthouse of trophy moo cow linesiders.  From the start it was a steady pick of cows, average size going 30lbs.  We had a lull during the slack but continued to pick a few.  Once the tide started again it was mayhem again with freight train sized stripers screaming drag from bow to stern and stern to bow.  It seemed every group went home with at least one trophy fish. But the big trophy went to Connor Garrigan of Yorktown Heights NY with a 38 lber.  John Cataldo of Holbrook was just shy with a 37.5 lber.  The regular Bassinators: George, Chris, Jay, Finn, Doug all caught their limit or more (orl).  Steven Bento who fluked all day had 4 fish to 36lbs (orl).  And Paulie Root Beer caught his largest Striper ever at 33lbs.  Imagine the majority of the boat going home with a trophy, what a great night to be a bass captain and crew.  Justin, Big Steve, Jesse and Brian were simply outstanding on deck and had the entire boat working as a team to get these mammoth fish in belly of the Starship.  If you are a bass fisherman, check out the photos…get them while its  hot!!!
Our next Bass trip departs 8p-4a tonight. And on Saturday we have 2 trips scheduled.  Our 6p-12a limited load trip is close to a sellout so please make your reservations.  We also have a trip 12 midnight-7a fishing the light of the full moon all night.  Don’t get shut out, reserve a spot for a trophy Bass!!!
