Sunset Striper Slam
Capt Ant reports an Awesome Sunset Striper Slam. We had everything on the jigs last night bass, blues black sea bass and Big Porgies The Pool winner Marc Gonzalez From Massapequa, NY with a 28.5lb Striped Bass

Half Day Fluke AM & PM

We started the morning off with some nice sea bass. We found some porgies in the mix too. Then the fluke bite turned on with lots of shorts and some nice keepers mixed in. Everyone went home with some dinner. The morning first place pool winner was George Signorelli of Ronkonkoma with a 6.5lb fluke. In the afternoon there was plenty of action on the fluke grounds. We still have lots of shorts mixed in with some nice quality keepers. We also had plenty of sea bass. This afternoons pool winner was the lovely Maria Paula Sierra with a 5lb fluke.
Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing today. We had a nice mix of nice sized porgies and sea bass. We also had about a half dozen fluke in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Sandy Amanuel from Manhattan with a 3.25lb porgy and in second place was Jose Rodriguez of Richmond Hill with a 4lb sea bass.
Midnight Moo Cow
Capt. Ant reports a Basstacular Midnight MooCow Madness excursion.  We took on the nasty northeast wind and went to Behemothland with a hearty crew who did an excellent job corralling the cows.  It was a steady pick all night long.  The first drift boated 5 and then we had 1-3 a drift with the exception of only 3 drifts.  90% of the fish were 30+ Moo’s as well, one of our better big fish trips in awhile.  While fishing was excellent last night was all about “Ponytail” Eric Cropper.  Eric has been night fishing the Starship since 1979 back when the Cartwright Bluefish Bonanza’s were the hot commodity.  Well 35 years later, Ponytail Eric accomplished his goal, a 50lb 12oz Rock Slob Behemoth MooCow Linesider.  The entire Viking family congratulates you Eric, well deserved and earned after all the effort you’ve put in over the years.
Obviously Eric took 1st Place but Lukasz Sokolowski was no slouch with his 47lb 13oz Behemoth.  Jesus of the Elbow Rewinsk had 4 to 38lbs (orl)Here are some shots, more to come later.
We still have room on our “Heart of Darkness” trip Monday 1030p – Tuesday 630a and will be fishing similar tide and location as last night.  If you want your trophy, get em while the getting is good!!!!!
On the local front not much to report other than a good old fashioned butt kicking by mother nature.  East wind against the flood tide made for unbearable driftingPat Chiarello all the way from Bellvue Washington took honors with a 24lb bass and Shawn Satris took 2nd.
