Evening Live Eel Trip
Captain Ant reports another kick-bass voyage! We didn’t limit, but were only 13 shy for a sold out boat. The blues started slow but once the moon rose the bite was on. Tough drifting conditions meant nothing once they started feeding. Again mixed sizes but Anthony Kerimian took the pool with a 38 pounder and the lovely Lindsay Rapeport took 2nd with a 35 pounder. Lindsay had 3 bass and 1 blue. Steven Bento had 3, Martin Wellen Dowd had 3, Pual Ryan hacked as usual but still managed a bass. Thankfully, after two trips of watching others bail, Marc Summers landed a 15 pounder on the 2nd to last drift! Outstanding work by the A Team on the deck last night. Unfortunately we are sold out tonight.

2 Day Tuna
Capt Carl reports another good tuna trip on the Viking star! We trolled for the first half of the day and caught some mahi mahi and a couple albacore. Then, we anchored up and immediately started catching! We caught albacore very good into dark when we continued to catch them, and the yellowfin started to bite too! We picked away until about midnight, and things slowed down with just a couple more yellowfin caught until it was time to go home. We also caught more mahi mahi through the night as they came around the boat too. We ended up with a nice catch and happy anglers! The pool winning tuna was an 80 lb yellowfin and the edible pool was taken with a 15 lb mahi. I lost the pool winners names, but special mention goes to Billy Lindroth and company for doing a great job fishing and we had a lot of fun with you guys!

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a decent day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had some smaller sized fish today and tried to hide away from the weather, but we had good action all day. There were plenty of porgies and everyone had their limit or close to it of sea bass. We also had some blues in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Xuz Tran of NY with a 4lb porgy and in second place was Luis Runa of Union, NJ with an 8lb bluefish.
