30+ Saltwater Turkey Wreck Trip
Capt Carl reports an excellent day on the Viking Star today! The weather was a bit ugly but fishing was red hot! Giant Jumbo Muhuska Knothead Seabass chewed like crazy with lots of double headers and we caught a quick and easy full boat limit of them. We also had about 30 or 35 keeper Cod to 25 lbs, and plenty of other delicious bycatch including ling, white hake, cunners, and cocktail blues. It was just savage. The crew spent hours and hours cleaning fish on the ride home and at the dock. We didn’t get many pictures, but here are a few.
The Wreck Fish Mafia crew put a hurting on them today… Chris, Tommy, Eddie, Dave and Jose of WFM did awesome, but Theo Zmach (WFM member also) took top honors with the 25.6lb pool winning Cod! John Capuano took the SeaBass pool with a 6.3 pounder! Special thanks also to the crew of the Capt. Al party boat in Pt Lookout, NY for all the help too!
