New Bedford, MA Porgies

Capt Dave reports a good start to the New Bedford, MA porgy season! There was a very good bite in the early morning and it slowed up a bit late morning. Anglers had a half to full limit of fish. No sea bass were caught (season opens May 23rd) and a couple short striped bass were caught. The pool winner was Akin Alphonzo of Amityville, NY with a 2.75 lb Porgy.
