Sunday May 24

Half Day Fluke AM
Capt Joe reports a very good morning of fishing today. Viking Fleets own Freddy “Motor” Shea got a 7 pounder yesterday, a 6.5 pounder today and limited out both days. Today’s pool winner was Brendan Simicic of Deer park with a 6.5lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies
Capt Stephen Francis reports a better day today than yesterday! It was a bit tricky at the start- we would make a drop and it would be on fire for the first 10 minutes into the drop and then they would scatter. Even though we had to make some moves, everyone had their limit and the last drop of the day was a solid hour of fishing.

New Bedford Porgies AM

Capt Dave reports a much better day on the Viking Starship. It was a steady pick of nice p0rgies and sea bass. There was also a keeper striped bass and a few keeper black fish. The first place pool winner was Anchaidy Walker from the the Bronx with a 3.5 lb porgie and the second place pool winner was Danny S. from Queens, NY with a 4lb sea bass.

Half Day Fluke PM

Capt Joe reports that the breezy conditions made fishing tough this afternoon. We expect tomorrow will be less breezy with better fishing. The first place pool winner was Nicholas Heis from Carmel, NY with a 4.8lb fluke. The second place pool winner was Nicholas Vityano from Yaphank, NY with a 4.6 lb fluke.
