Night Bass Block Island Behemoth
Captain Carl reports very tough conditions tonight making for a tough bite. We had a couple of slob bass in the beginning of the night, but then the tide slacked off. Then as the flood tide began the NW wind picked up for more wind against tide, where we didn’t drift over a half a knot for hours. Finally at the end of the night we had just enough of a drift to catch a few more big stripers. Matt Keefe from Stoney Point, NY took the pool with a 42lb 10oz behemoth and Cory Lester from NYC took second with a 38lb 5oz linesider. We also had a 35lb 9oz cow among the others.
