Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a decent day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had lots of porgies, a bit on the smaller side, with a handful of sea bass, some fluke and a nice showing of big trigger fish. Today’s first place winner was Joel Hernandez of Great Neck with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Ifa Gordon of the Bronx with a 5.5lb trigger fish.

Half Day Fluke AM
Captain Carl reports an excellent morning of fluke fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We had non stop actions with lots of shorts, but managed a fair amount of keepers. We also had a ton of sea bass and porgies coming over the rail. Today’s first and second place pool winner was Tyler Lopatin of Westport with a 5.2lb fluke and a 4.9lb fluke.

Half Day Fluke PM
Captain Carl reports a great afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. Despite strong winds they managed a very good catch. The bite was strong and there was lots of nice sized keeper fluke and Seabass. The Poolwinner was Terri Coleman from Holbrook New York with a nice 7.5lb Fluke.
