Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports that we a very good first drop this morning with lots of nice sized mixed fish.  When the bite slowed down we moved and found a pile of porgies on the small side.  From there we headed offshore to look for some sea bass; in the deep water we found mostly sea bass and a handful of cod.  Today’s pool winner was Nep from the Philippines of Bergenfield, New Jersey with a 3.7lb porgy.  The edible pool winner today was Li Lu from Flushing, NY with a 17lb cod.

Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Limited Passenger
Capt Stephen Denaro reports a real good day of fishing aboard the Viking Star.  The day started slow but we checked a couple spots and as a result we found some real good quality fish.  The weather made a turned for the best and we ended the day with close to 50 cod on the boat and plenty of XXXL sea bass in the 5-6lb range.  Today’s first place pool winner was Gerod Allums of Queens Village, NY with a 17.5lb cod.  The second place pool winner was Shkelzen Morina of Queens, NY with a 4.9lb sea bass.
