Block Island Cod/Sea Bass – Viking Fivestar
Capt Steven Jr reports another good day of cod fishing with most guys getting their limit and the guys who didn’t were not far from it. There were a lot of quality fish again today with a bunch in the mid to upper teens. The Sea Bass on the other hand have moved out for the winter. We made a couple deeper drops looking for them but only found a couple. It’s all about the cod from here on out! Looking forward to getting back out there next week after Christmas! The office will be closed for the 24th and the 25th and will reopen Monday, so give us a call and get in on the action!

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a good day. It wasn’t great, but it was good enough! We had a really good morning bite, but they started to get a little picky after that. There was a nice pick of cod with probably about 60. There wasn’t a whole lot of sea bass, but we had a few. We also had quite a few ling. More than we have been seeing. This was the last porgy trip for Capt Dave this season! He will be on vacation next week and will be back for cod after the first of the year. The pool winner was Ed Deal, aka Big Deal from Staten Island, NY with a 1 1/2 lb Porgy. The office will be closed this weekend for Christmas and we will not sail Saturday and Sunday. We will reopen at 4am on Monday, Dec 26th for the Block Island Jumbo Porgy & Knothead Sea Bass Trip departing at 5am.
