Block Island and Outer Banks Cod – Viking Starship
Captain Stephen Denaro reports an excellent day of cod fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We started this morning on the usual cod grounds; where very few fish were produced. So in true Viking fashion, we decided to go exploring determined to find some fish and we did. Most drifts produced 8-12 fish with our best drift producing over 30, and as the day went on the fish got bigger with an average cod weighing between 6-9 pounds. We also had a fair amount of ling in the mix today. A great day had by all with just about everybody taking home big bags of filet!  Today’s pool winner was Kevin Chan of Flushing, NY with a 18.6lb cod.
Unfortunately, due to the weather we will be cancelled tomorrow (1/23/17).

Block Island and Outer Banks Cod – Viking Fivestar
Capt Dave reports tough day of fishing on the Viking Fivestar.  There was a slow pick all day of both cod and ling.  The largest fish of the day weighed around 17lbs and high hook caught six fish.
