Block Island and Outer Banks Cod – Viking Star
Capt Carl reports a great day on the water aboard the Viking Star with beautiful weather and good cod fishing! We picked away at quality cod all day with some drifts only seeing a handful or two and some drifts with 30-40! We did not have many shirts either…lots of gaffers and quite a few double headers! We picked away all day and it added up to a solid catch! Ernie Yarcis from shelter island, NY took first place with a 18.5 lb cod and David Jones from Brooklyn, NY took second place in the pool with a 16.5 lb cod.

Block Island and Outer Banks Cod – Viking Starship
Capt Steven Jr reports not the same insane action that we had yesterday but still a real good day of fishing.  We saw better action in the morning; we picked throughout the day and  caught lots of quality cod.  Just like on the Viking Star we had some drifts producing up to 30-40 fish with lots of double headers in the mix.  By days end we had a nice load of fish aboard.  Today’s first place pool winner was Larry Perez from Yonkers, NY with a 23.5lb cod.  In second place was Michael Pellergino from Farmingville, NY with a 20.4lb cod.
