Half Day Fishing PM Captain Dave G reported a nice afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had great conditions and caught fluke, sea bass and porgies. Today’s pool winner was Max Coleman of Bayside with a 6lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports excellent fishing aboard the Viking Starship today. We had lots of nice mixed size porgies. Later in the day we went looking for sea bass. We had to pick through lots of smaller fish but there was some bigger ones in the mix. Everyone limited out with some sea bass up to 5lbs. The pool winner was Burk Sojourner from Upper Marlboro, Maryland with a jumbo 4.1lb Fluke!

1/2 Day Fluke AM Capt Dave G Reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The trip started in thick fog at slack tide. But then the tide started moving and the fish started to bite. We ended up a with some nice drifts. Plenty of fluke, porgies and sea bass to go around. The pool winners were Marcello Santorelli from Bethpage NY with a 6.75lb Fluke and second place was Frankie Marin from Brooklyn NY with a 6.25lb Fluke.

Night Bass Capt Carl reports a non existent bite on the Bass boat tonight. We tried many spots, marked fish, but could not get a bite on the eels. It was a very long night.

1/2 Day – PM Capt Dave G Reports a very good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had some nice size keeper fluke, nice sea bass and a good shot of porgies to round out the afternoon. The pool winner was Nancy Ann Cote from Clifton, NJ with a 6.75 lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good steady day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was decent in the morning and then we went looking for sea bass. We had to pick through a lot of smaller fish with the sea bass but we found some bigger fish too and everyone hit their limits. Mitch Lee from Queens NY took the pool with a 3lb scup.
