Half Day Fishing – PM Capt Joey D reports a tough afternoon on the Viking Star. We had a hard time catching a drift due to the slack tide that never seemed to end this afternoon. We managed some fluke and sea bass. At least it was a gorgeous day on the water!First Place Pool Winner – Mandi Iannielli from West Islip, NY with a 7 lb Fluke. Second Place Pool Winner – Hunter Hansen from Montauk, NY with a 5.8 lb Fluke.
Wed July 05
Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slower day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship today. The first two drifts were really good and we got plenty of nice big porgies. Things slowed then and we had to bounce around quite a bit but we still managed to pull together a decent catch. There was lots of sea bass today and everyone got their sea bass limit. There was over a dozen keeper fluke and a keeper striper too. The pool winner was Pete Perchala from Huntington NY with a 3lb porgy!

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Joey D reports a bit of a slow start on the Viking Star this morning. We had our usual suspects of fluke, sea bass and scup. It turned out to be a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. The pool winner was Suzie Kallmeyer from Brewster, NY with a 4.6 lb fluke.

Full Day Fluke & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Aaron reports a steady day of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. The bite was strong in the morning with plenty of fluke and sea bass action before the tide ran and things slowed down a bit. Things picked up again in the afternoon bringing in over a dozen keeper sea bass and fluke. The pool winner was John Antonelli from Syosset NY with a nice 6.3lb fluke!
Tues July 4
Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We had BIG GIANT fish first thing in the morning on the first drop! Then the tide shifted and we anchored up and had a steady pick for the rest of the day. We had a nice mix of nice big porgies, 8 keeper striped bass, a bunch of sea bass and some fluke. Today’s pool winner was Alex Exposito of NJ with a nice 3.75lb porgy.
