Thurs Nov 4th – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt. Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. Conditions were great and there was a nice mixed bag of Porgies, Sea Bass and Cod. The Porgies and Sea Bass were a good size, very few throwbacks. There was a great selection of Cod on the boat, at least 20 keeper Cod. There were little to no dog fish biting so it made for a very enjoyable trip. The first place pool winner went to Choig Park from Flushing, NY with a 3.5lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Rongwel Lin from Flushing, NY with a 12lb Cod. We are sailing with a light crowd tomorrow. Come on down, there is plenty of room and fishing is great!
Wed Nov 3 – Ultra LTD Blackfish & SeaBass

Wed Nov 3 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. It was a steady pick all day everywhere we went. We had more Porgies today than we have been seeing that ranged from Large to Jumbo. There were plenty of Sea Bass, but it just wasn’t as hot as yesterday. Cod fishing has improved with about 15 on the boat today.. The first place pool winner was Jin Hong Dong from Brooklyn, NY with a 2.8 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was William Young from NYC with a 13 lb Cod.
Tue Nov 2 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing started out slow, but we ended up getting into a good batch of them. Sea Bass fishing was phenomenal with jumbos coming over the rail. We also had a handful of Cod and some Bluefish. Everyone was loaded up by the end of the day. Mon Nov 1 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. The Porgies were harder to find today, but what did come up were very good size. SeaBass fishing was excellent everywhere we went. There were still some dogfish around, but it wasn’t as bad as yesterday. We also had a few Codfish. The first place pool winner was Julio Moncia from Hempstead, NY with a 3.3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Felipe Olivares from Brooklyn, NY with a 10 lb Cod.
Sun Oct 31 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a decent day on the Viking Starship despite the rough conditions. We caught fish everywhere we tried until the dogs found us. We moved around a bunch and had nice SeaBass up to 4 lbs, mixed sized Porgies and a handful of Cod. It was not a bad day considering the wind and the dogfish. Sun Oct. 24, Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Seabass
Capt. Dave reports a good trip with decent Porgies and some nice Seabass. The Porgies we caught were a good size and easy to find but, the Seabass were a little picky and we had to search around a bit to get them. We had some Cod on the boat today the largest weighing 10 lbs. The pool winner was John Derrieco from Montauk, NY, with a 2.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Juan Correo from Con Fueras, with a 10 lb Cod Fish.

Sat Oct 23 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt. Dave reports that we had fantastic fishing today on this beautiful day. We landed lots of fish especially Jumbo Seabass up to about 4lbs. The Porgy fishing was also great with most of the fish caught were on the larger size. We also landed about 10 Cod. Axel Nenoic of Corona Queens was the winner of today’s Porgy pool with a 3.5lber.
