Sun Nov 2 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a Excellent trip on the Viking Starship. Our morning stared off very active with many beautiful and big sizes of Sea Bass. We also found a mixed pick of small Porgies. Then we went offshore to take a look around, so we were able to catch good sizes of Porgies, Bluefish and Mackerel. We all went home happy with buckets full. The first place pool winner was Julio Alcantara from Leopard, NY with a 53.1 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Bernardo H from Bronx, NJ with a 4.5 lb Sea Bass. Sat Nov 1 – Squid Fishing – Viking Starlite
Captain Joe reports a slow night on the Squid boat. The water in the bay was still very brown and dirty from all the wind we have been having, so that made it tough. The good news is the water already cleared up, and we are looking forward to getting back out there tonight!
