Montauk Full Day Jumbo Fluke for Tuesday June 23rd is CANCELLED! Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports that the morning fishing on the Ebb Tide was good with a mix of small to medium fish. Half Day Fluke PM Capt Stephen Francis reports a slow start to this afternoons trip. But once the tide picked up the bite was on! We had a decent catch of nice sized fluke. The pool winner was Tyler Weiss of Montauk, NY with a 5lb fluke. Half Day Fluke AM Today’s first place pool winner was Ben Greenspan of Glen Cove with a 4.2lb fluke and in second place was Lynn Gurthicie of Montauk with a 3.7lb fluke. Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a tough grind on the night bass boat. We started off jigging and had some action with some bluefish, a few giant scup and 1 nice keeper bass. After we switched to the live eels, we had another bass, but that was it. Today’s first place pool winner was Tad Picker of the Bronx with a 20lb striped bass and in second place was Eric Stewart of Bayport with an 18lb striped bass. Half Day PM Capt Stephen Francis reports an okay afternoon today. It was a bit rainy towards the end and we had wind against tide, but we still managed to put some fish on the boat. Half Day-AM Captain Steven Francis reports a good morning of fishing on the Viking Stariper. The tide was good and they had plenty of fish with a lot of shorts. The pool winner was Charles Allbright of Floral Park, NY with a 3.52lb fluke. Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies Captain Dave reports a good first day fishing at the Lighthouse, catching really nice big scup. Then they headed down the beach for an exploratory trip, where they had more action with slightly smaller fish. All in all it was pretty good fishing for the first day on the new grounds. The pool winner was Rob Batt from Floral Park, NY with a 3.7lb porgy. *Remember we are still departing at 5am this weekend. This Monday the departure time will change to 6am and the fare will be $85.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Stephen Francis reports that fishing started out amazing with some nice porgies coming over the rail. Fishing slowed down a bit when the tide changed but we still manage to put a nice catch together. The pool winner was Mr Grantley Black from Newark, NJ with a 3.9lbs Porgy.

Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies Capt Stephen Francis reports a very good day of porgy fishing. We hade lots of action with lots of big fish. Todays pool winner was Sam Clark from Bayshore with a jumbo 3.9 lb porgy.

Schedule Update: Monday June 15th 2015 Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies Tuesday June 16 is Cancelled due to the Weather! We will be sailing every day after. Please call the office at 631-668-5700 or book online a vikingfleet.com Dave Duffy Deep Water Charter Captain Steven Sr. reports a good trip to the deep water on the Dave Duffy Charter. On Day 1 we hit the cod wrecks. The first couple were a slow pick, but the next couple of wrecks produced a steady pick of nice size cod. The winner of the cod pool was Theo Zmach of Oceanside, NY with a 25 pounder. Late in the day we headed to the deep water tile fish grounds. We found a steady pick of nice quality tile fish, with many in the 8-12 pound class, along with a nice supply of hake…
Sunday June 14th
Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies Captain Stephen Francis reports that fishing started slow this morning on the Porgy grounds. But it got better as the morning went on.The pool winner Maurice Wauchope from Hempstead, NY with a 3.9lbs. New Bedford Porgies and Seabass Captain Dave reports a slower day of fishing on the Viking Starship. There was a good mix of porgies and seabass on the boat. The pool winner was Marcos Corea from the Bronx with a 3lb porgy. The Starship is underway and on its way back to Montauk. The Viking Fleet wants to thank everyone who joined us to fish this year in New Bedford, MA.

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that fishing had improved today we had lot Sea bass and nice size Porgies coming over the rails. The Pool winner was Shkelzen Morina he took the both pools with a 3lb Porgy and the edible pool with a 5lbs Sea Bass. Friday June 11th
Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies Captain Steven Francis reports AWESOME fishing today on the porgy grounds. We had great weather, perfect conditions and had anglers busy fulling there coolers. The pool winner was Mr Edson S Davis from Jamaica, Queens with a 3.5lbs porgy. . New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another excellent day of fishing today in New Bedford. We had sea bass up to 6lbs, with most people catching their limit, and nice big porgies as well. Again most people had their limit of porgies. Today’s pool winner was Leon Mow, a visitor from Guyana, with a 3lb porgy.
