Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We made a few drops and had a great pick. We had to pick through some of the smaller ones, but everyone ended up with plenty of keepers. A lot of action today with a mix of Porgies, Cod and Sea Bass in the 5-6 lb range. Today’s first place pool winner was Tommy Liu from Staten Island NY with a 3.2lb porgy and the edible pool winner was Henry Samuel of Brooklyn with a nice 15.2 lb Cod Fish.

Attention Viking Fishermen! We have added our annual 2 Day – George’s Banks Cod/Wreck Trip! Get booked on this popular trip before it fills up and get yourself a load of filets for the holidays! It was a slammer trip last year and we are hoping for the same on this trip!! We will be departing Montauk on the Viking Starship Friday, November 30th at 7PM and returning Sunday, December 2 at 10PM. This trip will be limited to 45 passengers and the fare is $450. We also have made a weather date for the following weekend departing Montauk on Friday December 7th at 7PM and returning Sunday December 9th at 10PM. Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Slow start and rough conditions aboard the Viking Starship this morning, Captain Dave reports. Although a rough start, it progressively got nicer and the fish began to bite. Small dogs, a few Sea Bass, small to medium Porgies and plenty of Blue Fish. Our pool winners for the day were, Jose Flores from Queens New York with a 2 1/2 LB Porgy. Along with Peter Wong from Great Neck New York with a 14 LBS Cod Fish.

Schedule Update: Sat Nov 3- CANCELLED 5AM – Porgy & SeaBass – Viking Starship 5AM – Cod & SeaBass – Viking Star As of now we are sailing  Sunday Nov, 4th on the 140′ Viking Starship for Block Island Porgies & SeaBass and on the 104′ Viking Star for Block Island Cod & SeaBass and the Viking Fivestar for Block Island Cod & SeaBass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop was south of Block Island where we had a slow pick. We tried one more spot in the deeper water where we found Cod, Bluefish, Sea Bass and a handful of Porgies. The first place pool winner was Jose Sh from Manhattan, NY with a 3.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Kieth Watson from Freeport, NY with a 12.1 lb Cod. Fridays trip is cancelled due to weather.

Cod & SeaBass Charter – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a slower day then we have been seeing. We had some dogs to compete with thru the day. By the end of the day we had what we needed as far as SeaBass, but we had to work for them. We also had a pile of Porgies in the mix.
