Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass

Captain Anthony reports an outstanding day of bottom fishing on the block grounds. Our anglers had non stop action all day retaining their limits of jumbo porgies and sea bass. There were also about 25 keeper cod aboard up to 20lbs. Today’s first place pool winner was 8 year old Michael Gutierrez of Hampton Bays with a 17lb cod and in second place was Mamdouh Sirag of Middle Village with a 3.5lb porgy.

Captain Dave reports an excellent day of porgy and sea bass fishing. Almost everyone had their limits with full coolers of fish with lots of porgies, sea bass, some blues and about 30+ cod up to 15lbs. The pool winner was Milton Nelson of Brooklyn with a 3.25lb porgy.
