Thurs Dec 30 – Block Island Mixed Bag

Capt Dave reports another good trip on the Viking Starship. More Porgies, SeaBass and Cod. There were fewer SeaBass today. This was our last trip for 2021. The Viking Fleet crew would like to thank everyone for a great season! Have a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you all in 2022!!

Tue Dec 28 – Block Island Mixed Bag

Capt Dave reports a fine day of fishing on the Viking Starship today! Plenty of bites, action, and fun! We had the typical mix bag of Giant Porgies, Sea Bass, a few Cod, and other species. Most were able to manage a limit of Sea Bass plus plenty of other stuff. WE ARE DEFINITELY SAILING TOMORROW AGAIN AT 5AM! The weather looks great! Our office is closed, but you can book online or just show up tomorrow. Our office will open at 4am for ticket sales. This might be your last chance in 2021 come come on and join the fun!

Capt Dave reports an all around excellent mixed bag trip on the Viking Starship. We had very steady fishing all day and everyone had their limits of P0rgies and SeaBass. Sat Dec 18 – Blackfish/SeaBass/Cod Trip

First Place Blackfish Pool – Ricky Morel from Patterson, NJ – 9.5 lbs First Place SeaBass Pool – LeAndre Haddew from Philadelphia, PA – 4.5 lbs. First Place Cod Pool – Belkys Perez from Patterson, NJ – 9 lbs. Tomorrow’s trip is cancelled due to weather. The last trip will be on Wednesday, December 23….

Sat Dec 18 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a great trip on the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was phenomenal with some of the biggest Porgies we have seen all year. Everyone ended up with a handful of good sized SeaBass, but you had to pick through the little ones. There were also a couple of Cod and Pollock. Pantelis Kounelias from Edison, NJ won the first place pool with a 4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Antonio Rosas from New Y0rk with a 5 lb Cod. Tomorrow’s trip is cancelled due to weather. We will be sailing for Block Island Mixed Bag on Monday at 5AM.

Thur Dec 16 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. They spent the morning fishing in the Sea Bass grounds, there were plenty of fish to catch and even a few Cod fish. From there they made their way east to where they had some excellent Porgy fishing, the size was mostly larges. Overall fishing was great with a mixed bag of large sized Porgies, Sea Bass and Cod Fish. The Porgy pool today was a tie between Danny Logan from the Bronx and McFarlane from the Bronx as well with 2.2 lb Porgy. Tomorrow’s 5AM Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass trip is cancelled due to the weather, but we look forward to sailing on Saturday, purchase your tickets online or through the office before the sell out!

Wed Dec 15 – Blackfish/SeaBass/Cod Trip

Blackfish Pool Winner was Bob Moore from Detroit, MI with a 7 1/2 lber. SeaBass Pool Winner was Kenny Ye from Queens, NY with a 4 1/2 lber. Cod Pool Winner was John Tsoukalas from Bergenfield, NJ with an 8 lber. The last trip for Blackfish, SeaBass and Cod on the Viking Star will be Saturday, December 18th. There are some spots left, so give us a call or book online.

Tue Dec 14 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship. There were plenty of Porgies and SeaBass along with a handful of Cod and a couple of Pollock. Every drop had great fishing. This is some of the best late season fishing we have seen in a long time! The pool winner was Gang Chen from Queens, NY with a 2.8 lb Jumbo Porgy. Unfortunately tomorrow’s trip is cancelled.
