Mon July 22 – Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports from the Viking Starship a great trip was had by all today. We went off near the Montauk Lighthouse and quickly caught our limit of large and Jumbo Porgies. With plenty of time left in the trip; we decided to try something a little different. We went a little farther off-shore to the East than usual and all the anglers really enjoyed the constant action and variety of fish brought onboard. Sea Bass was a mixture of shorts and keepers. About a half dozen of the Fluke were keepers with the largest being 5-6 pounds. In addition to Fluke, Scup and Sea Bass anglers on this morning’s trip also caught Ling, Mackerel and a Cod!
