Mon June 20 to Fri June 24 – Mark Kaminski Charter – Viking Starship

Capt Steven Sr reports a great trip for the Kaminski group. We started out the trip with a moment of silence for Captain Ron Kaminski and finished the service with prayers and flowers. Tuesday saw a slow start with rough conditions. It was pick, pick, pick. Then conditions improved and fishing got better and better to all out fantastic until dark! Mark Kaminski made a clean sweep of the first day pools with a first place 45.6 lb Tile and a 24.2lb Barrel for the largest edible. Day two started slow with the rough conditions, but it got better throughout the day. It was another all out fantastic afternoon. First place pool winner was Rob Michalowski with a 44.9 lb Tile. Ty Nguyen took the edible pool with a 22.4 lb Barrelfish. Day three was windy and overcast. It was hard work with a slow bite. By 2pm everyone had enough so we headed home. The first place pool winner for the last day was Ty Nguyen with an 18.6 lb Tile. The edible pool winner was Dwayne Sherard with a 7 lb Hake. Overall we had a fantastic two days of fishing and the third day was tough. We had a lot of large Tile, an excellent amount of Barrelfish, Hake and Rosies. Honorable Mention again goes to Rob Michalowski who jigged the entire trip! He had two Tiles up to 30 lbs and one over 40. The crew would like to thank all who were on the trip.
