Sat June 17 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Captain Dave reports slow but good fishing conditions. The fishermen caught medium to large fish, and some keeper flukes and a little bother from a couple of dogfish. Overall, it was a great fishing day, and the pool winner was Christopher Urquilla from Brentwood, NY, with a 2 1/2 porgy.

Sat June 17 -1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports good action this morning on the Viking Star. There were a few keeper Fluke caught. Jigging was good and we had some big Bluefish and Jumbo Porgies. The pool winner was Elliott McGonegal from Watermill, NY with a 6 lb Bluefish.

Fri June 16 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports a decent day on the Viking Starlite. We tried something different and fished the shallow water, anchoring up for the whole trip. It was a steady pick of medium to large Porgies. There were also 4 keeper Weakfish up to 6 lbs. The biggest Porgy was 2 lbs. No pool today. The trip sails daily at 5AM. Thurs June 15 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports a slower day on the Viking Starlite. Porgies were a little off the bite today, but what we did have were good size and quality. The pool fish was 2 3/4 lbs. He left without leaving his name! Sailing daily at 5AM. Office opens at 4am for ticket sales and check in.

Capt Dave reports a decent pick today fishing on the Viking Starlite. It was a slow and steady pick today, when the tidal conditions were perfect we found fishing was fairly well.
