Mon Sept 16 to Thurs Sept 19 – 3 Day TNT Ultra LTD

Captain JR reports a successful TNT trip on the Viking Star. Despite the approaching weather we were able to squeeze in two days and a night out at the eastern canyons. The tile fishing wasn’t as hot and heavy as our last trip, but still had a decent pick of tiles and other assorted bottom dwellers. The pelagic species also made a decent showing as we boated a few yellow fin tunas, two swordfish, and a jumbo white marlin. All in all it was a good mix of species as we boated golden tiles, blue line tiles, cod, pollock, Rosies, cusk, yellow fin tuna, swordfish, and a white marlin. We had to cut the trip a bit short because of the coming blow, but in the end it definitely wasn’t too shabby
