The crew reports a decent afternoon on the Viking Star. It started off slow, but we ended up with a nice mixed bag of Sea Bass and Porgies with a few Fluke to go home with. The pool winner was Michelle Wintje from Somers, NY with a 3.5 lb Fluke.

Capt Dave reports an excellent trip on the Viking Starship. We had mixed size Porgies at the lighthouse from mediums to larges and a handful of jumbos. On the Sea Bass grounds we had a lot of Porgies mixed in with SeaBass up to 4 lbs. There were also some keeper Striped Bass and Fluke. The pool winner was Noel Hansen from Long Island, NY with a 2 1/3 lb Porgy.

Capt JR reports that this afternoon onboard the Viking Star we found a plethora of jumbo knot head Sea Bass, hub cap Porgies, and some real trophy Fluke!!! Our biggest Fluke of the year to date was caught by pool winner Kevin Black from East Hampton, NY with an 11.5 lber!! The weather looks beautiful…

Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. We started out with tough conditions at the lighthouse with wind against tide, so we anchored. It got very good with plenty of action around the boat. We ventured out for SeaBass and it was tough with the conditions shortening our drifts, but there were nice fish to be had in the 3 lb range. The pool winner was George Reid with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.

Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship. The Porgy fishing was tremendous! We spent 2 1/2 hours on one drift. We had all we needed at the lighthouse, so we went out to find the Sea Bass. We had to pick through the smalls to find the nice ones, but everyone was rewarded with Sea Bass up to 4 lbs. The pool winner was Gregory Mcrae from NYC with a 2 1/4 lb Porgy.
