Sun Sept 19 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. Made a couple drifts close to Block Island in the morning, had a plenty of Porgies and some Sea Bass. Conditions were nice for making the drift. Fishing slowed down a bit moving offshore, but there were still some really nice sized Sea Bass and a few Porgies. The first place pool winner went to Jose Fernandez from Brentwood with a 2.9lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Edward Pimentz with a 3.6lb Sea Bass.
Sun Sept 19 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
Capt Steven Sr. reports a good pick of fish today on the Viking Star. There was a nice mix of good sized Porgies, Sea bass and Fluke. Conditions where a little bit windy, but overall good fishing considering. The pool winner went to Tim Krawetz of Yorktown Heights, NY with a 4lb Fluke.
Sat Sept 18 – Full Moon Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports that unfortunately, the Fall Run has not yet begun. We fished many different areas in Montauk, as well as Block Island, but only came up with some Bluefish and SeaBass for the trip. There was no pool tonight.

Sat Sept 18 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing again today on the Viking Starship. Up close to Block Island we had mixed size Porgies and SeaBass ranging from small to just keepers. Offshore on the anchor was very good with plenty of Large to Jumbo Porgies and Big SeaBass. We also had a bunch of Cod and a lot of big Trigger fish. First place pool winner was Tarik Scott from Elmont, NY with a 3.2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Andy Alboher from N. Bellmore, NY with a 5 lb Fluke.

Wed Sept 15 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a great day on the Viking Starship. We got a lot of fishing time in close up to the island and had excellent Porgy fishing with plenty of SeaBass in the mix. The pool winner was Michael Diah from Bayside, Queens, NY wit a 2.4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Angela Bryant from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.2 lb SeaBass.
Tue Sept 14 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. We had great action by Block Island, but we had more Medium Porgies with some Larges mixed in today. South of Block Island we made a bunch of stops with a lot of SeaBass. Some of the areas were all Porgies with more large and Jumbos than close inshore. There were also a couple of Cod and Fluke. The first place pool winner was John Miller from Patchogue, NY with a 3.4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Milton Nelson from Deer Park, NY with a 4 lb SeaBass.
Mon Sept 13 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was as good as it gets with mostly Large fish and some Jumbos mixed in. We fished up close to Block Island in the shallow water and were done there about 11am. We drifted in the deeper water and caught a load of SeaBass. The pool winner was Lenny Owes was the pool winner with a 3.2 lb Porgy.
