Fri Dec 11- Blackfish-SeaBass-Cod
Capt JR reports a good morning of Blackfishing on the Viking Star. Many anglers had their limit of Togs. Offshore the Seabass fishing was off, but we had some really nice Cod. One was 29.5 lbs and some other beauties in the teen size range. A new body of fish has definitely moved in. The first place Blackfish & SeaBass pool was won by Joe Novello from E. Moriches, NY with a 7.5 lb Blackfish and a 2.5 lb SeaBass. The Cod pool was won by Alex Koch from Mattituck, NY with a 29.5 lber.
Wed Dec 9 – Blackfish – Seabass- Cod
Captain JR reports that left over conditions from the recent blow made for a tough day overall . However we did see some lively Black fishing and some nice Ling coming over the rails. The Black fish pool was won by Jason Talmage of Eastport NY with a 6.5 pounder. A nice 8lb Cod was the Cod pool winner , caught by Ma Xubin from Long Island. Matt Neuwirth of Bayport NY took today’s Sea Bass pool catching a 2.5lb fish.

Fri Dec 4 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a slightly better day on the Viking Starship. We had a lot of tide making for difficult conditions, but we had a few more fish with the water being cleaner today. Anglers managed a handful of Porgies and SeaBass. There were also a couple of Cod. No pool today. All trips are CANCELLED for tomorrow.

Thurs Dec 3 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a tough day on the Viking Starship.We had dirty water left over from the blow with a strong full moon tide and a wind driven current. We managed a handful of Porgies and SeaBass along with about 25 Pollock that made the day! The pool winner was William Deal from Troy, NY – AKA – “Big Deal” with a 2 lb Porgy.
