Fri July 17 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a great day on the Viking Starship. There was a hard running tide, so we went down the beach and the Porgy fishing was super. We had a mix of medium and large Porgies as quick as you could catch them. We also hit two SeaBass spots. The fishing was just fine, you just had to pick through the smalls to get to the big ones. We also had some Fluke, Mackerel and Bluefish. The first place pool winner was Armindo Viana with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Pete Seabrooke with a 4.5 lb SeaBass.

Fri July 17 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We caught big Sea Bass, some nice Fluke and plenty of Porgies during the first part of the trip. The bite slowed a bit as the weather conditions got worse. Still we ended up with a nice catch. The pool winner was Ed Obray from Great River, NY with a 6.75 lb SeaBass.

Thurs July 16 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Dave G reports a very good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The fish were biting from the start of the trip to the finish. We ended up with a very nice catch of large Sea Bass, jumbo Porgies and a couple nice Fluke. The pool winner was Marcello Santorelli with a 3.5 lb Fluke.

Thurs July 16 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a great trip with very good Porgy fishing by the lighthouse. We caught mostly nice size Porgies, and decided to go a little offshore for Seabass. The first place pool winner was Nicky from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.6 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Dexter Sapp from Brooklyn, NY with a 12 lb Striped Bass.

Thurs July 16 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
