Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a tough night of bass fishing aboard the Viking Starship. As we have seen for this whole season… the outgoing tide does not produce bass for us. We did have some action with some big blues keeping everyone entertained. First place in the pool went to Al Hanak from Ronkonkoma, NY with a 16lb bluefish, and second went to Ovando Chilal from Southampton, NY with a 15lb blue. Next weekends trips will have the better tide!

1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Carl reports that conditions were nicer in the afternoon, which lead to to more fish being caught. Great action, Great fishing! 1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Sarah reports a great morning of fishing in the fog today. We saw tons of fish coming over the rail with many keepers! Everyone who fished went home with a bag of fillets. We had plenty of keeper Fluke, Sea Bass and Porgies. The first place pool winner was Joseph Khamis from West Chester, NY with a 5.5 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn, NY with a 5.25 lb Fluke.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an excellent first day over in Block Island aboard the Viking Starship. We had a mixed bag of mixed size porgies and sea bass. The sea bass were up to 4.5lbs and porgies up to about 4lbs. It was steady fishing all day and everyone had their limits! Today’s pool winner was William Nunez of Manhattan with a nice big 3.9lb porgy.

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Sarah reports an amazing morning of fishing on the Viking Stariper. We had non stop action with plenty of keeper Fluke, Sea Bass and Porgies! Everyone went home with bags of fish. We ended up with over a dozen Sea Bass over 5 lbs and two Fluke over 6…

2 Night Tuna LTD Captain Jerry reports just a slow trip this past 2 Night Tuna trip. We had perfect weather, but the fish were just not there. The pool winner was Steve Sandland of Happauge with a 25lb albacore.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another very good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We stayed local today and got a night load of porgies up to 4lbs with some nice sea bass in the mix. Everyone had their limit or close to it for the sea bass. We also had some fluke and blues in the mix. Tomorrow we will have our first day for Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass. The boat will depart at 5am and return at 3pm with a fare of $100. The office will open at 4am for ticket sales.
