Sat July 27- Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports from the Night Bass boat that we had similar conditions to the last 2 nights and similar results…. very poor fishing. Richard Harrichoniz from Lake Grove, NY took the Pool with a 8 lb Bluefish.

Sat July 27 Capt Steven Jr reports phenomenal fishing on this mornings charter. We loaded the coolers up with Jumbo Porgies and had a nice shot of SeaBass at the end of the trip. Sat July 27 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Steven Sr reports a fantastic day on the Viking Starship! Fishing was as good as it gets. Montauk Viking Porgies are IN! Come on out and get in on the action. We sail daily at 5AM. The first place pool winner was Al Lopez with a 3.9 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Mr. Wonkin with a 4 lb SeaBass.
Sat July 27 – 1/2 Day AM
Capt Dave G reports a very good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We started slowly with only a few fish on the first drifts. Then the bite was on, and we made a nice catch of keeper fluke, large sea bass and porgies. It was a beautiful morning on the water. The winner of both pools was Matthew Moskowitz from Plainview, NY with a 5.2 lb Fluke and a 3.75 lb SeaBass.
Fri July 26 – Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports another slow night on the Bass boat. After Thursday’s night of not catching any Bass locally, we ventured off to different grounds in hope of finding some Bass that would cooperate but unfortunately it did not work out for us. Tomorrow is another night and hopefully things change for the better!
Fri July 26 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & SeaBass
Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship. We started out by the lighthouse where the fish were slightly smaller than yesterday, but it was very good with plenty of big ones mixed in. The SeaBass fishing offshore was good with everyone getting what they needed, but there were tons of small fish to pick thru. The first place pool winner was Jose Gabriel Mendez from Queens, NY with a 3.41 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Elias Dantas from Mount Vernon, NY with a 4.9 lb Fluke.
July 26 – 1/2 Day AM
Capt Mike reports a beautiful day aboard the Viking Star. The morning started out fast with rods bending right away. We had a bunch of shorts along with keeper Fluke and a lot of SeaBass. It slowed down in the middle of the trip, but it picked up and we had good fishing until the end. The first place pool winner was first time fisherman Gareth Lewis from the UK with a 6.25 lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was Philip Petlain from Waterbury, CT with a 4.7 lb SeaBass.
Thurs July 25 – Night Striped Bass
Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports that fishing was very slow on the Viking Starship. We stayed local all night and fished a weak Ebb Tide and only had a couple of bluefish. The pool winner was Kelvin Gilliam from Miller Place, NY with a 10 lb Bluefish.
