Full day Fluke & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Sarah reports a lot of action aboard the Viking Stariper today. We had to work through some piles of sea robins though. We did put together a decent catch of fluke sea bass, and some big mackerel. The pool winner was Luke McQuade from all the way from London with an 8.25lb Fluke!

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We started off the morning with perfect conditions and were catching jumbo porgies. We had really good action for about an hour but then the bite slowed. We went looking for sea bass then and got plenty of nice keepers. Later on in the day conditions picked up again. We got some nice big sea bass and the porgies started biting again. Everyone topped off their coolers at the end of the day! The pool winner James Hom from Manhattan NY with a nice 3.8lb scup!

Half Day Fishing AM Captain Joey D reports a good morning of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had a nice mix of fluke, porgies and sea bass. There was lots of action and everyone went home with some nice filets. Today’s first place pool winner was 11 year old Sophia Ruperto of Westbury with a nice 6lb fluke and the second place was 11 year old Isabella Fichera of NY, NY with a 5.5lb fluke.

Half Day Fishing PM Captain Joey D reports a fine afternoon of fishing today. We had all the usual suspects mixed together- fluke, porgies and sea bass. Today’s pool winner was Dean Rhodes of Mirfield, England with a nice 5.4lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Sea Bass Captain Dave reports excellent fishing aboard the Viking Starship today. We had lots of action! We started off with some nice medium sized porgies and when we went to look for some bigger ones we found a decent pick of porgies and sea bass up to 4lbs. We also had about 30-40 trigger fish and some mackerel. The pool winner with a jumbo 4.1lb porgy was Lloyd Mcgreevey from Farmingdale NY.

Half Day Fishing PM Today’s first place winner was George Signorelli of Lake Ronkonkoma with a 4.7lb fluke and in second place was Matt Seridge of Freeport with a 4.25lb fluke.

Half Day Fishing AM Today’s first place pool winner was 10 year old Alexander Keester of Germany with a 5lb fluke and in second place was Amal Sokkar of Montauk with 4.2lb fluke.

We had a steady bite on all day with tons of medium sized porgies and sea bass with a few jumbos mixed in. Today’s first place pool winner was Edward Flores of Manhattan with a nice big 3.7lb porgy and in second place was Kyujae ho of Queens with a jumbo 6.3lb sea bass.

Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a slow night of Bass fishing. The tide was running right as soon as we arrived on the grounds and we caught a couple nice ones, but as soon as the tide slowed up, the fish went into lock jaw mode for the rest of the night. Julia Gielan…

Half Day Fishing PM Captain Dave G reports of beautiful afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking star. We caught lots of porgies and sea bass and also had some fluke and bluefish in the mix. The pool winner was Amal Sokkar of Montauk with a nice 5.7lb fluke.
