Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out anchored up east of the lighthouse. It was two hours of decent Porgy and Sea Bass fishing without much tide. Most of the Porgies were large sized. We went offshore in search of more Sea Bass. At the first spot we had mostly small stuff. At our second spot we had excellent Sea Bass fishing with Jumbo Porgies mixed in. The pool winner was Luell Smith from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. The bonus season has begun! Capt Dave reports a tough trip on the Viking Starship. There was a big ground swell with dirty water that made the fish not bite in our usual spots. After trying a few of these spots with no luck we headed offshore to cleaner water and had a decent pick of mostly large Porgies with mixed size Sea Bass. There were some Mackerel too. The pool winner was Noel Henson from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 lb Porgy.
