Sat Dec 20 – Block Island SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod – Viking Fivestar
Capt Steven Jr reports that we had to do some traveling, but we put together a good day of fishing in the end. We started by block and after the first 20 minutes of fishing it was obvious that last weeks storm had shut the bite down. So we took a long ride offshore and fished some wrecks with steady action on nice Seabass, a couple cod and some other wreck dwellers. We put in some extra time and ended up being rewarded for it.
Sat Dec 19 – Block Island Mixed Bag
Capt JR reports very good trip today on the Viking Star. We had a boat limit of nice quality Knothead Sea Bass. There were also some Porgies, Ling, and a few Cod mixed in. The first place pool winner was Leo Lopez of New Rochelle, NY with a 5.25 lb Sea Bass. The edible pool winner was Brian Bates of Blue Point, NY with a nice 5 lb Sea Bass.
Wed Dec 16 – 30 to 50 Mile Wreck Trip – Viking Fivestar
Capt Steven Jr reports that we were able to sneak out Wednesday before the weather came on and put a slammer day together on the offshore wrecks! A swinging load of jumbo Seabass with a couple Cod and some big ling in the mix. We loaded everyone up with fresh fish for the holidays. We have another 30-50 mile wreck trip next Wednesday with a couple openings and there are some charter dates available for wreck trips before the Seabass season comes to an end. Sun Dec 13- Block Island SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod
Capt Steven Jr reports an excellent day with a boat limit of big Togs! High hook had 14 keepers (orl) and we a lot of fish in the 8-10lb range. The Viking Fivestar is sailing Friday, Saturday and Sunday for this trip through December. There is also a 30 to 50 Mile Wreck trip sailing on Wednesdays. Sun Dec 13 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a good day on the the Viking Starship. We started out the day close to the island and we had plenty of shorts chewing the lines. We took a long ride to deeper waters offshore and the size of the fish definitely improved. It was a slow pick of Porgies and Sea Bass and mixed in were Ling and Bergalls and the nicest green Cod we’ve seen this season. The first place pool winner was Fidel Corea with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool was won by Jose Lund of the Bronx with a 10 lb Cod. This was the last day for the Porgy & SeaBass trip, but we will be continuing though the end of the year with Block Island Mixed bag daily at 5am and returning at 3pm.. This trip will be a…
Sun Dec 13 – Blackfish/Sea Bass/Cod
Capt JR reports improvement on Viking Star. SeaBass fishing was better today. The Blackfish were biting early in the day. We also had some nice green Cod in the mix. The Blackfish pool was won by Adam Nagin from New York, NY with a 7.25 lber. The edible pool was won by Avi Sheena from Mineola, NY with a 12.15 lb Cod.

Sat Dec 12 – Blackfish & SeaBass Charter
Capt Steven Sr reports an awesome day on the Viking Starlite. It was a Slam Dunk Full Boat Limit of Blackfish up to 10.5 lbs! We also had 20 keeper SeaBass and about a dozen keeper Cod and a handful of Boston Mackerel in the mix. It was an all out very good charter. This was our last day of fishing on the Viking Starlite for its first season.
Sat Dec 12 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a very slow pick on the Viking Starship. We had a mixed bag with a lot of Bergalls, a handful of Cod, some Ling, and about a bunch of Porgies. Devon Bruce from the Bronx won the Porgy pool with a 2 lber. The edible pool was a 10 lb Cod.
Sat Dec 12- Blackfish/Sea Bass/Cod Trip
Captain JR reports a tough day on the Viking Star. There were some Ling and Porgies around to catch. Inshore the Blackfish bite was picky, but there were a few Cod around that came aboard. We had three pools on board today. Andrew Worrell of East Meadow, NY won the Cod pool with a 9 lber. Jose Goday of Oyster Bay, NY took the Sea Bass pool with a 3 1/4 lber and Nick Galman of Farmingdale, NY won the the Blackfish pool with a nice 6 1/2 lb keeper.
