Tue Aug 11 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Chris reports smiles all around on the Viking Star. Another afternoon of crazy good fishing. Porgies and Seabass topping the buckets with several keeper fluke to boot. There will be plenty of sore arms come the morning! The first and second place pools were won by John Delaney from Patchogue, NY with 4.8 & 4.5 lb Fluke.

Tue Aug 11 – Schedule Update – Viking Fivestar

2020 Fall Schedule- Viking Fivestar – SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod & 30 to 50 Mile Wreck Trips Block Island – SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod Trips: Starts Oct 23 and ends Dec 20. Tue Aug 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports another excellent day on the Viking Starship. The lighthouse Porgy fishing was great and SeaBass fishing towards Block Island was very good. We had a good drift offshore and nice quality fish. A big improvement from yesterday. There were also 8 keeper Fluke today up to 8 lbs. The first place pool winner was Hector Trouka from King of Prussia, PA. with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner wants to remain anonymous with his nice catch of a 9 lb Fluke.

Tues Aug 11- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt. Chris reports banner fishing this morning. We caught an excellent mix of Fluke, Seabass and Porgies. Everyone went home happy with plenty of fish for dinner. The pool winner was Kristina Kerr from Deer Park, NY, with a 6.75 lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was Pete Schweddy, age 13, from Long Island, NY, with a 6 lb Fluke.

Mon Aug 10 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Jr reports great fishing again this afternoon on the Viking Star. All anglers had rods bending. Great catches of Porgies with some quality sea bass in the mix. The pool winner was Christian Alessandro from Smithtown, NY with a 3.5 lb SeaBass.

Mon Aug 10 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports excellent Porgy fishing at the lighthouse this morning on the Viking Starship. We headed east for SeaBass and we had wind against tide with slow conditions. It was not “red hot”, but working short drifts provided everyone with their limit. The first place pool winner was Erik Flores from Amityville, NY with a 3 1/2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Yugen Ou from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 1/4 lb SeaBass.

Mon Aug 10 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports that we had a  slammer trip this morning. Caught multitudes of Sea Bass and Porgies. It was non stop action from start to finish. Everyone had big filet bags of delicious fish. The first place pool winner was 11 year old Gabe Shaddow from Ridgewood, NJ with a 4.5 lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was 11 year old Alex Cariddi from Ridgewood, NJ with a 3.75 lb SeaBass.

Sun Aug 9 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Full Report to follow. Pete Carroll from Staten Island won 1st and 2nd place in the pool with a 7 lb Fluke and a 6.5 lb Fluke.

Sun Aug 9- Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Seabass

Capt Dave reports amazing fishing out by the Lighthouse today on the Viking Starship. We caught medium-large size Porgies. After we got our limit on Porgies we went SeaBassing by Block Island. Things over there started off slow then it started to pick up. We did really well with SeaBass over there and caught some beautiful  SeaBass, Porgies, and tons of Mackerel. The pool winner was Alexis Melendez from Queens, NY, with a 2.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Anthony Bennett from, Philadelphia, PA, with a 4 lb Fluke.
