Thurs July 16 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a great trip with very good Porgy fishing by the lighthouse. We caught mostly nice size Porgies, and decided to go a little offshore for Seabass. While offshore we caught beautiful size Seabass and everyone caught their limit. We caught some good size keeper Fluke and saw some Striped Bass. The first place pool winner was Nicky from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.6 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Dexter Sapp from Brooklyn, NY with a 12 lb Striped Bass.

Thurs July 16 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star in breezy conditions. We had difficult drifts to start the trip with wind against the tide. Eventually we found some calmer waters, and ended up with a nice catch of Sea Bass and Porgies. The first place pool winner was Glenn Behrens from Oakdale, NY with a 4 lb SeaBass. The edible pool winner was Dillon Donovan from Lindenhurst with a 3.5 lb SeaBass.

Thurs July 16 – Schedule Update!

Second Porgy & SeaBass Trip Added!! Captain Steven Sr. will be running a limited passenger trip on our new vessel the Viking Starlite. The first trip will be this Saturday, July, 18. Trips are limited to 24 passengers. Fishing equipment is available for rent on the boat. Tackle is available for purchase. Bait is included. There not be a galley on this trip. So please be prepared. Wed July 15 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Steven Sr  reports excellent action from the very first drop to the last drop. We caught tons of Porgies and Seabass and a few Fluke. Overall it was a great trip that left passengers with buckets of fish and big bags of fillets to take home for dinner. The pool winner was Wilkens Hernandez with a 3.5 lb Seabass.

Wed July 15- 1/2 Day Private Charter – Viking Fivestar

Capt Derek reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Fivestar. We had plenty of large Porgies and jumbo Seabass. We tried some Fluking but it was slow, so we returned to Seabass and Porgy fishing. We ended the day with just shy our limit of Seabass for 12 guys and nearly the limit of nice sized Porgies.

Wed July 15 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We had excellent Porgy fishing at the Lighthouse, and decided to go offshore for a little. Offshore we caught a lot of nice size Seabass. We had to pick through some little ones but we found beautiful keepers. It was a great day…

Wed July 15- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports another action packed morning on the Viking Star. Early in the trip anglers boated some real nice quality Sea Bass. Action continued throughout the trip with multitudes of Porgies and some Fluke. Fishing was so good we finished up a little early today. A great day all around. The pool winner was Rahel Johnson from Ronkonkoma, NY with a 3 lb Seabass.

Tue July 14 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. Fishing was EXCELLENT under the lighthouse with Large Porgies. To the east we had a mix of medium Porgies & SeaBass. The offshore SeaBass drop was not as productive as usual. We only had a handful of SeaBass there and some medium Porgies. The pool winner was Butch from Alabama with a 2.5 lb Porgy.

Tue July 14 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt JR reports that we had another productive trip with action from beginning to end on the Viking Star. Anglers were very busy reeling in Porgies and Sea Bass with some Fluke in the mix. The afternoon trip today had some real JUMBO Sea Bass that really sweetened the catch. The first place pool winner was Cece Nealon-Shapiro from Denver, CO with a 5.15 lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was Teddy Ertel from NY with a 3.25 lb SeaBass.

Tues July 14- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports a lot of great action this morning on the Viking Star. Quality Sea Bass and Porgies were biting all trip. We also saw an increase in the Fluke coming over the rail. The first place pool winner was Sana Trokel from Sag Harbor, NY with a 4.75lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was Kayla Cowell from Medford, NY, with a 3.9 lb SeaBass.
