Tue June 23 – Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & SeaBass

Capt Dave reports an excellent morning on the Viking Starship. Our first drift made the day! We had great mixed bag fishing by the lighthouse with most catching a good part of their limits. We headed down the beach after that and found some more quality Porgies. We then headed to the offshore wreck to try out SeaBass fishing for the first time this season and found a ton of small SeaBass. There were keepers in the mix, but we had to pick thru them. We also had some Porgies and Bluefish. The last drop of the day was a slow pick of SeaBass. We are happy to be SeaBass fishing again and looking forward to the fishing getting better and better. The pool winner was Donald Hyde from the Bronx with a 3 lb Porgy.
