Full Day Local Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. We had a steady pick of nice size porgies. We also had a handful of keeper sea bass after we picked through the small ones. The first place pool winner was Keiser Adams from East Orange, NJ with a 3.8 lb Porgy. The second place pool winner was Rudis Escobar from Brentwood, NY with a 4.3 lb Sea Bass. Tomorrow, Sunday October 22, Sea Bass re opens in Federal waters. The Viking Starship will resume Block Island Jumbo Porgy and Knothead Sea Bass trips departing at 5am and returning at 3pm. The fare is $100.

1/2 Day Mixed Bag Capt Jerry reports non-stop action on the Viking Star this morning. We had nice size porgies and sea bass coming over the rails with everyone going home with fillets. The pool winner was Angelo Demetroulakos with a 3.5 lb Sea Bass.

SCHEDULE UPDATE! Bass fishing was phenomenal last night with everyone catching their limit of bass up to 40lbs! So we are going to put on a second boat for the Night Striped Bass trip tonight. It will also leave at 6pm and return at 12am with a fare of $85. Call our office at 631-668-5700 to make reservations.

Night Striped Bass Captain Stephen D reports a phenomenal night of bass fishing aboard the Viking Starship. The bite was on right away when we got out there and made our first drop. We had our boat limit with fish into the 40lb range. Tonight’s pool winner was George Jehn with a nice 43.5lb bass.

4 Day New Moon Sword/ Tuna/ Tile Ultra LTD Zachary Adams of Hudson, FL took the tuna and the tile pool with a 81lb yellowfin tuna and a 34lb tile fish and Ross Dale of Trenton, NJ took the edible pool with a 26lb Hake. A full report will follow.

Full Day Local Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Stephen D reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out with a steady pick of porgies with mostly large sized fish, then it slowed down as it got windy and the drift picked up. We then moved on and found a nice slow pick of nice sized Sea Bass to finish off the day. The pool winner was Alina Drakopoulos from Long Island, NY with a 3 lb Porgy.

Full Day Local Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports another decent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We had a steady pick of porgies with mostly large sized fish with a few mediums mixed in. Again, we had a lot of action with sea bass, but we only had a handful of keepers. The keepers we did have were in the 4 to 5 pound range. The pool winner was Luis Cabrera from Islip, NY with a 2.75 lb Porgy.

Full Day Local Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a decent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We had a steady pick of porgies all day. They were on the smaller side, but they were mostly keepers in the medium to large range. We had a lot of action with sea bass, but we only had a handful of keepers. The pool winner was Al Branch from Queens, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy.

Full Day Local Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports an excellent day of porgy fishing aboard the Viking Starship! Limits of good sized porgies were caught, along with a handful of keeper sea bass.  There were also a couple trigger fish in the mix today.  We also caught a few small black fish that were returned the water unharmed.  Today’s pool winner was Lee of Manhattan with a 2.11lb porgy.

AM Half Day Fishing Capt Jerry reports a fair morning of fishing abroad the Viking Star.  There were a few large sea bass and some nice porgies caught, overall lots of action this am including one nice false albacore. Today’s pool winner was Angelo Demetroulakos of Brooklyn with a 14lb false albacore.
