Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an excellent day of porgy fishing aboard the Viking Starship. It was much better than yesterday. We had one drop where all the porgies were jumbo and other than that they were mixed size. We had some nice sea bass and some trigger fish in the mix too. The pool winner was Samuel Gomez from Brentwood NY with a 3.5lb porgy.

Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports another one of those nights where we were plagued with outgoing tide all night, which, again, led to zero Striped Bass production. We had a few blues, sea bass, and scup, but no Striped Bass bite at all. The outgoing tide has really been tough for us this whole season. Anthony Cusimo took first and second in the pool with 12 and 11 pound bluefish.

Full Day Fluke & Sea Bass – Viking Stariper Capt AJ reports very slow fishing on the Viking Stariper today. The water was very dirty due to the ground swell which made for a slow pick all day. The pool winner was Dennis Schulz with a 6.9 lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slower day of fishing aboard the viking Starship today. The day started off slow as we were looking in dirty water, left over from the big sea yesterday. We tried a bunch of spots and eventually we found the porgies quite far from home. We had to go off shore to find clean water but when we did we found some nice mixed size porgies, sea bass and mackerel. The pool winer was Qil Rang Li from Brooklyn with a jumbo 3.75lb scup!

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass. Captain Dave reports a mixed day of fishing back on the Viking Starship. We started off in the AM with some really good porgy fishing. We caught some good sized jumbo fish. We then went looking for sea bass but we only found a handful and they were mostly small. This might be because there was a pretty big swell. Even when we went looking for sea bass though the porgy fishing was still good and we got lots more nice mixed size ones. The pool winner was Benjamin Thomas of NJ with a 3.2lb scup.
