Thur Nov 12

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had a lot of porgies, which gave us plenty of time to look for some sea bass. We found some really nice quality sea bass, we also had a couple cod and some blues in the mix as well. We did see some dogs around, but they weren’t causing too much trouble. Today’s pool winner was Mark Rafferty of Medford with a JUMBO 4lb porgy! The trip for tomorrow, Fri Nov 12th has been CANCELLED due to weather.

Tue Nov 10

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a Bail Job today on the Viking Star! We had a light crowd and pretty much everybody had their limits of porgies and sea bass. The pool winner was James Bostick from Englewood, NJ with a 3lb porgy. Just a reminder to all anglers, we will be sailing tomorrow, Wed Nov 11th on Veteran’s Day. We have a boat on standby and we are running a special for all veterans and active duty military. The fare will be $70 with proof of service.

Mon Nov 9

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another Excellent day on the porgy and sea bass  grounds. We had no shortage of the meat coming over the rails all day long. We had some nice gorilla blues and about 1 dozen keeper cod. The pool winner Nikola Picinic from Saddle River, NJ with a 3lb porgy. The second place winner was Matthew Ramirez from Palms, CA with an 11lb blue fish.

Sun Nov 8

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass – Superstar Captain Anthony reports another great day of bottom fishing the Block Island Grounds! All of our anglers retained their limit of jumbo porgies and sea bass. There was also about a dozen keeper cod brought on board. The first place pool winner was Ari Yusef from the Bronx with a 3.2lb porgy. The edible pool went to Henry Logan with a 9lb cod. The first place pool winner was Kamal Chata from Jackson Heights, NY with a 3.5lb porgy. The edible pool went to Spirogiannis Psomas with a 12lb cod.

Sat Nov 7

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass – Superstar Captain Anthony reports a great day of bottom fishing off Block Island with all of our anglers retaining their limits of large to jumbo sized porgies and sea bass, with a few cod in the mix. The first place pool winner was Collin Connell from Mt. Vernon, NY with a 3.8lb porgy. Collin also won the edible pool with a 7.9lb cod. Congratulations Collin! Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of porgy fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had some really nice porgies and nice sea bass along with a handful of cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Elric Jarvis with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Rer Diaz with a 10lb cod.

Thurs Nov 5

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports excellent fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had great porgy fishing today! It gave us plenty of time to go on for the sea bass, where we ended up finding beautiful trophy sea bass and about 20 keeper cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Jimmy the Greek, Dimitrios Pagounous of Astoria, NY with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Milton High of Brooklyn with an 11lb cod.

Wed Nov 4

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another EXCELLENT trip today. We had scup and sea bass excited to be on our dinner plates tonight. We had a good weather, with a nice crowd and fish in the coolers. The first place and the edible pool went to Jia Ming Zhou with a 3.5lb porgy and an 8lb Cod. Montauk Noman’s Black Fish Haven/ Sea Bass Captain Carl reports another awesome trip to Noman’s Land. Fishing was awesome for the first couple of hours, with lots of tog flying over the rails. Some guys had over a dozen (ORL) and some had 3 or 4, but we had another full boat limit. The pool winner was Simon Choi from New York, NY with a black fish 10.3 lbs and a sea bass 2.9lbs.

Tue Nov 3

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a great day of porgy fishing with plenty of jumbos. The sea bass were not biting as well as usual, but they spent some time looking for them and they ended up having a few per person. There were two cod fish brought on board.  The first place pool winner was Michael Lyle of Old Bridge, NJ with a 5lb porgy! The edible pool winner was Dod Cismet wilth a 10lb cod.

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another excellent day on the porgy and sea bass grounds. We had some nice market size scup and sea bass coming over the rails. Both pools were won by Paul Ken. First place was a 3.5lb porgy and the edible pool was a 4.5lb sea bass.
