Capt JR reports another tough grind on the Viking Starship. We tried some different areas and it did not work out. We will try it again this coming weekend weather permitting. Schedule Update The 4AM – Winter Cod trip is CANCELLED for Saturday February, 20th. We will definitely be sailing on Sunday, February, 21st. Reservations are Required for All trips. Capt JR reports that the trip started a little slow on the Viking Starship, but as the sun came up we were able to get on a pretty good bite for an hour or so. There were some real nice big green COD in the mix. After the bite slowed down we bounced around a few rock piles and picked a few more with some ling in the mix. Today was definitely an improvement over our last couple trips. The pool winner was Ma Xu Bing from Long Island with a 20 lb Cod.

Capt JR reports that fishing this morning was productive and a huge improvement over yesterday. When the AM bite was over we ventured offshore and picked some more Cod with a few juicy Ling in the mix. The pool winner was Mike from Moriches, NY with a 13.2 lb Cod. Our next trip is Saturday, Jan 16th.

Capt Steven Jr reports  a great day of Cod fishing with the boys from the James Joseph on the Viking Fivestar. We started off in the dark with a steady pick of fish with a few shots of multiple fish on at once. From there we jumped around on some smaller pieces and picked a few fish everywhere we went. It was good to see some fish spread around on different drops and a good amount of bait in the area. Things are looking promising for this winter we just need the weather to cooperate for us.
