Attention Viking Anglers! We are excited to be adding a special Gulf Of Maine Haddock/Pollock/Red Fish trip! As most of you know, the fishing has been RED HOT up there, and with a 15 Haddock per person per day limit and unlimited Pollock and Red Fish, we are excited to get up there and get in on it! We will be running the Viking Star, limited to 30 passengers departing February 21 at 5PM, and returning Sunday February 23 at 6AM. The fare is $450 and includes bait and ice for your catch. We will have full galley service for this trip. Tackle is provided onboard for an additional fee. Bring some jigs as well! We will be fishing in around 250-300ft of water. Capt. Schedule Update: All trips are CANCELLED Wednesday, February 5th and Thursday February 6th. We are watching the weather and hoping to get back out there on Friday.

Unfortunately both trips are cancelled for tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 4th. Our Captains and crew are anticipating the moon will give us a good bite for Cod on Wednesday morning. Captain Steven Jr reports that we had another slow go at it on the Viking Fivestar. We covered a lot of grounds and we picked up a few fish everywhere we went, but never got a decent bite going. We had a couple Ling and Cunner in the mix as well. Hopefully things will improve here over the next week.

Capt Dave reports a very slow day on the Viking Star. We didn’t have much to work on only catching about a dozen keepers and a dozen shorts. It was a very nice day on the water, but a quiet day of fishing. There was a tie for the pool between Matthew Logman from Brooklyn, NY and Tanner Bertran with 6 lb Codfish. This trip is CANCELLED tomorrow February 2 and Monday February 3.

The Winter Cod trip on the Viking Star is CANCELLED tomorrow, Sunday Feb 2nd. The Viking Fivestar is sold out. Both trips are CANCELLED Monday Feb 3rd due to weather. Capt Steven Jr reports a tough day overall on the Viking Star. We never found anything good to work on, but we managed to pick away a few. There were also a couple of Cunners in the mix as well. John Rotondi was high hook with 7 Cod. The pool winner was Steve Delara with a 24.5 lb Cod. We are definitely sailing tomorrow – Saturday Feb 1st for Cod on the Viking Star with Capt Dave at the helm. There is plenty of space, so come on out!! The office will open at 2am for ticket sales. Capt Steven Jr reports a tough go at it today, only finding a few fish to work on early, then had a slow remainder of the day. Fishing started off great catching a quick 10 fish, then a seal popped up eating fish off the lines and the bite immediately died. We managed to reset and pick for a little while before the morning bite ended. The rest of the day we hopped around never finding anything good to work on.
