Block Island Cod/Seabass/Blackfish – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports another good day on the Block Island grounds. Everyone had their limit of SeaBass and a couple of Blackfish with some Scup and a couple of Cod in the mix. All trips tomorrow are CANCELED due to weather.

Block Island Seabass/Blackfish/Cod – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a good day with the given conditions. We started off Black fishing and had a good pick of quality fish up to 8lbs. Then we went off Seabassing and had a steady pick with a lot of smaller fish to work thru, but we ended up with everyone having their limit. There is still not much cod around yet, but everyone is going home with a pile of meat every trip.

Viking Fivestar With our Tuna season behind us we hauled out for Coast Guard inspection and a quick clean up. We are ready for our fall Block Island Cod and Seabass trips! Trips will start sailing this Monday (Sold Out!) and we have added Tuesday 10/23 and Thursday 10/25 to the schedule this week! Looks like we are going to have a nice break in the weather and we are looking forward to getting our fall season started! Commercial Trip Sun Oct 7 – Wed Oct 10 – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a fantastic tuna trip on the Viking Fivestar. They had 1700lbs of various species! A great way to end the Viking Fivestar’s 2018 tuna season, with an awesome commercial trip. Remember, there is one more offshore trip on the Viking Star Oct 22 and there are plenty of fish around so come get your last shot offshore with us!  

Block Island Cod & SeaBass – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports that on our first trip to Block Island we had a limit of big Black Sea Bass, loads of jumbo Scup, and a nice shot of quality Cod. Block Island bottom fishing is alive! We have plenty of trips coming up for the fall on both the Fivestar and the Viking Star.  

Thurs Sept 6 – 48 Hour Tuna Returned today from another good trip with Bob and Capt Shaun! Got a load of fish for the guys and called it a trip a little early!
