Fri July 12 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports another great day on the Viking Starship. We started out offshore anchored for SeaBass and we had a lot of action. We did have to pick thru the some small fish, but everyone had quality keepers. When the tide eased off we drifted by the lighthouse and had quality large and jumbo Porgies with some SeaBass mixed in. The pool winner was Rasin from Long Beach, NY with a 3 lb Porgy.
Fri July 12 – 1/2 Day AM
Capt Mike reports a good morning on the Viking Star. Conditions were tough to start and it was a bit slow until we were able to get on a good drift. We then had good action with keeper Fluke, Sea Bass, Striped Bass and Bluefish.
Thurs July 11 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a fantastic day on the Viking Starship. We started out at the lighthouse with very good Porgy fishing. We then went offshore a bit where the SeaBass fishing was super and we had Jumbo Porgies mixed in. We also had Fluke up to 5 lbs. The pool winner was Gio from NJ with a 3 1/2 lb Scup.
Thurs July 11- 1/2 Day Fishing AM
Capt. Carl reports a fine day of fishing with plenty of Seabass but a little slow on the Fluke fishing. The pool winner was Stuart Nassauer from East Hampton, NY, who is 94 years young, winning the first place Fluke pool.
Wed July 10- PM 1/2 day fishing trip
Capt. Joe reports good fishing with tons of action catching mostly shorts and some keepers. We caught Fluke Porgies and Sea bass with some lucky catches mixed in. The bite today was okay but we ended up having a good trip. The pool winner was Henry Emmans from Georgia with a 5 lb Fluke.
Wed July 10 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship with perfect conditions. A lot of life out there!! The fishing was very good at the lighthouse with mixed size Porgies and a few SeaBass. It was so good there we finished up early and headed offshore to a SeaBass drop where we found plenty of fish to reach our limits. There were also a bunch of Mackerel offshore, along with a bunch of short Fluke and some keepers. The pool winner was Jeff Greenbaum from Yonkers, NY with a 3 1/2 lb Scup.
Wed July 10 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
1/2 Day Fishing AM Capt Mike reports a lot of action of the Viking Star. We didn’t have an early bite, but it picked up and we had a lot of action and some big Fluke by the end of the trip. The pool winner was Marc Santorelli from Bethpage, NY with a 4 lb Fluke.

Capt Dave reports a slower day on the Viking Starship compared to yesterday. We had to contend with windy conditions, so it was a bit tough. Those that stuck with it did put a nice catch together.
