Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a pretty good day on the Viking Starship. We started out drifting and the fishing was good with large Porgies and SeaBass. It got too rough so we anchored and had a slow steady pick. We only had one Cod today. The pool winner was Gus from NYC with a 3 lb Porgy.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship. We had big Porgies with SeaBass mixed in drifting. We drilled it out on spot for the day and everyone came home with their limits of Porgies and SeaBass. The first place pool winner was Elizabeth Geissler from Springs, NY with a 4 1/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Koi Wong from Queens with a 13 lb Striped Bass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. We had a tougher time with the Porgies today, but it was a slow and steady pick. We did have some Jumbos and everyone pretty much had their limit. The SeaBass fishing was better with everyone retaining their limit. There were also about a dozen Cod. Pool winner to follow.

Block Island Cod & SeaBass – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports that on our first trip to Block Island we had a limit of big Black Sea Bass, loads of jumbo Scup, and a nice shot of quality Cod. Block Island bottom fishing is alive! We have plenty of trips coming up for the fall on both the Fivestar and the Viking Star.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports another good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop was south of Block Island where we had a good pick of mixed size Porgies and SeaBass. We tried one more spot in the deeper water where we found Jumbo Porgies and some large keeper SeaBass. We also had a few Cod ranging from 8 to 13 lbs. The pool winner was Noe Leon from Hempstead, NY with a 3 lb Porgy.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a FANTASTIC day of fishing. We landed lots and lots of fish of mixed sized Porgies and Sea Bass. There were plenty of Jumbo Porgies in the mix . We headed offshore and then slowly picked some Jumbo Sea Bass . All in all a fantastic day of block Island fall fishing. Bernard from Queens was the pool winner with a Jumbo 3.5lb porgy. James Hon was the edible pool winner with a 7lb Bluefish.

3 Day TNT Limited Captain Jerry reports that this past weekend’s Tuna and Tile trip was good. We landed lots of Tile, Pollock , Hake and even a few Cod. We also had some keeper Yellow Fin Tuna , a mess of Albies and 4 keeper Swordfish. The Tuna pool was won by Bill Beacher with a 80lb Yellow Fin . The tile pool winner was Theo Zmach with a tile in the mid 30s.

Capt Dave G reports a good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We had a beautiful afternoon on the water and had a nice catch of large porgies and a couple nice size sea bass. There was no pool on the boat for the trip.

Capt Dave reports great porgy fishing on the south side. Barry from Babylon caught a 3.75 lb porgy and Louis from the Bronx reeled in a 4.5 lb seabass.

AM Half day Fishing Trip Capt Dave G reports a very very good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We had a load of porgies along with some sea bass, fluke, bluefish and striped bass. 1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Dave G reports a very good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We had non stop action from the beginning of the trip to the end with the rods bending at all times. We ended up with a load of porgies, many of them jumbos, along with some sea bass and fluke. The pool winner was David Sierodzinski from Manhattan, NY with a 5.3 lb Fluke.
