1/2 Day – AM Capt Jerry reports a good morning on the Viking Star. We had a lot of action with big Sea Bass, Porgies and some Fluke. THe pool winner was Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn/Montauk with a 4lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a tough day on the Viking Starship. We had a big sea by the lighthouse and fishing was slower than it has been. We headed east to the SeaBass grounds where we had better luck with a mixed bag of SeaBass and Porgies. Tomorrow is our first day of Block Island Porgies & SeaBass and we are expecting really nice conditions. We are running two boats tomorrow, so come on out and get in on the action! 3 Day TNT-LTD Viking Star Capt Jerry reports good fishing on the first offshore trip for the Viking Star. We had Tilefish, Pollock, Hake, Mahi-Mahi, a couple of Cod, and 1 Monkfish. 1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Dave G reports a slow morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star in breezy conditions. The bite was off due to the recent weather. We ended up catching a nice keeper fluke, sea bass, porgies, and even a bluefish. There was no pool on the boat today.
Wed Sept 12
Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. We started out by the lighthouse where we had a nice shot of Porgies. We had to move on after a fast tide killed it and tried a couple of spots. We then moved on to the east where we had very good mix SeaBass and Porgies with some quality SeaBass caught. The pool winner was John Henry from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.
Schedule Update
Tue Sept. 11 Attention Viking Anglers! This Saturday September 15 is the First day for Block Island Jumbo Porgy and Knot head Sea Bass fishing. The weather looks like it will be perfect and we have heavy reservations so we are adding a second boat. The 104Ft Viking Star will be sailing to Block to fish side by side with the Starship so we have plenty of room for everyone! We sail at 5am and return to the dock around 3pm. The fare is $110 dollars which includes bait. Book your spot now at vikingfleet.com or call us at the Viking Office @ 631 668 5700. Otherwise there will be plenty of room so come on down. Our office will open at 4am for ticket sales.

1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Dave G reports a slow afternoon on the Viking Stariper due to the breezy conditions. The pool winner was Monica Rahman from New Haven, CT with a 3 lb SeaBass. All fishing trips are CANCELLED Sunday Sept 9 & Mon Sept 10.
Sat Sept 8
Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. It was a slower start to the Porgy fishing by the lighthouse due to the fast new moon tide. When the conditions got better we did have plenty of mixed size porgies. The Fluke were also biting good while we were at the Porgy grounds and we landed a bunch of them. We put in some extra time a the SeaBass grounds where we had a lot of smaller fish mixed with some very quality sized fish. The first place pool winner was Jaurer Zauala from NY, NY with a 4 1/2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Pete Seabrooke with a 7 lb Fluke. Unfortunately the trips for Sunday and Monday are CANCELLED due to weather.

1/2 Fishing – AM Capt Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We caught a mixed bag of sea bass and porgies. The pool winner was Richard Martinez from Yonkers, NY with a 3 lb SeaBass.

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Dave G reports a tough morning on the Viking Stariper. The conditions were breezy and the bite was a bit off. The pool winner was Jerry Merante from Montgomery, NY with a 3 lb Sea Bass.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports an excellent day on the Viking Starship. The fishing was very good at the lighthouse with jumbo Porgies and mixed sized SeaBass. We also headed down the beach a bit when we had wind against tide and caught well. There were also a couple of Fluke up to 7 lbs. We also headed further east today to find the bigger Sea Bass where we had tons of action with Sea Bass up to 5 lbs. There was no pool today.

Thurs Sept 6 – 48 Hour Tuna Returned today from another good trip with Bob and Capt Shaun! Got a load of fish for the guys and called it a trip a little early!
