Friday September 27

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports another Disappointing night bite. We picked a few but nothing satisfactory for a full boat. We went all the way east to all the way west down the beach, marked everywhere but could not get them going. perhaps the wind against tide & slow drift or perhaps they are chewing ferociously in the day. The latter is happening as this report is being written @ 8am insane jig bite according to reliable sources we’ll let you know at 3 for sure.The pool winner was Tom Andretta from Yucaipar, CA with a 26lbs second place Dennis Romaniello from Calverton, Ny Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship today. Friday August 30

Half Day Fluke PM Fishing was very good this afternoon. We had lots of fluke and a nice mix of bluefish, porgies and sea bass. Everyone went home with some fish! James Borteck took the pool with a 5lbs fluke. Full Day Porgies & Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of porgy fishing we had lots off porgies and sea bass up to 4lbs we even manage to get 2 keeper striped bass and some blue fish in the mix. The pool winner Mr Michael Haywood from Brooklyn, NY with a 3lb porgy. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Anthony reports a FLUKETASTIC morning trip with practically pure flatties coming over the rail. We averaged 2 keeps a person with 5 people at their limit!! We had a few sea bass and scup but the fluke bite was incredible….

Monday August 26

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Carl reports an excellent afternoon of fishing. They had lots of fluke and some sea bass in the mix. They had tons of action all afternoon yielding a whole mess of keepers!  The pool winner was Mr Wayne Powers from Manhasset, NY with a 4.3lbs Second Place was Mr Donald Visek from Aquebogue, NY a 3.8lbs Full Day Porgies and Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a very good day with the porgies today despite the weather conditions. We had nice sea bass mixed in and overall a good trip today. Calvin Chen from Central Islip NY took the pool with a 3.3lbs porgy and the second place winner was Alex Kok who took the pool for biggest edible with a 20lbs striper!
