Tuesday July 29

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Anthony D reports an excellent afternoon of fluke fishing. We had non stop action with a good number of fat kee[per fluke, sea bass and porgies, as well as a nice striped bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Katelyn Anderson of East Hampton with a 5.7lb fluke, and in second place was Mary Beth Staropoli of Larchmont, NY with a 25lb striped bass. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Anthony D reports the morning started out a bit slow,  but once we foundthe fish we had a steady bite of some nice fat fluke, along with some jumbo porgies and sea bass. Monday July 21

Sunset Striper Slam Capt. Ant reports rod bending action started our night and lasted while we had tide. Monster blues were everywhere from the light to as far east as the eye could see. We had a few bail job drifts also picking monster porgys, jumbo sea bass and even a 5lb fluke. Bass were non-existent in the frenzy as we never had the brisk tide they feed on. Saturday July 19

Jig & Eel Night Bass Trip Captain Ant reports an Easterly blow+ ebb tide created very slow drifting conditions and a very slow bass bite. We had Atrophy at 46.6lbs caught by Wei Huang, from Centereach, NY  Second Place Andrew Baranowski from Lindenhurst, NY with a 28.8 Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Carl reports another SLAMMER day on the Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass boat. All day we picked away at quality flukes and jumbo sea bass! Both species were chewing like crazy! We had a sold out crowd and we were just a few fluke shy of a boat limit as well! Tommy A. had 10 keeper fluke (ORL) and 18 keeper sea bass (ORL). There were many quality fluke in the 4-6lb range, just no giant ones. Sea bass was the same, lots of 3-3.5…

Tuesday June 10

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a really great day of fishing in New Bedford today. This morning we had a steady pick of very large porgies. Then we moved and made a drop for the sea bass where everyone on the boat limited out with sea bass up to 5lbs!

Fridays June 6

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing in New Bedford! There was plenty of fish, both sea bass and porgies. We had some really nice sized fish today, with nice sea bass up to 5lbs. Today’s pool winner was Alice Jones with a 3.25lb porgy. Montauk Cherry Harbor Porgies Capt Ant report for this mornings porgy trip is simply one word…BAIL!!!  We started the day with 2 and a half straight hours of a porgy crush. It slowed with the tide so we made a wiggle to the shallows and found the Goliaths. Steven Bento took the pool with a 3.85 18 and 1/2 inch porgasaurus. Thursday June 5

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another very good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship! We had lots of really nice BIG porgies and plenty of nice sea bass. Most people had their limits on both porgies and sea bass. Today’s pool winner was Wayne Yua of Manhattan with a nice big 3lb porgy.

Monday June 2

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing today in New Bedford! We had lots of nice BIG porgies! We also had a few nice sea bass and a few blackfish in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Tonya Thompson of Bridgeton, CT with a HUGE 4lb porgy!

Wednesday May 28

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Capt Dave reports an overall good day of fishing today despite the bad weather. We had a slow start in the morning, but we hit a a nice pile of fish and then it was on! We had some really nice sized fish today, with mostly porgies. We did have some sea bass in the mix, but not as much as we have been seeing, but still some nice sized fish up to about 4lbs. Today, we had a tie for the pool! Good friends Dennis Phillips and Dennis Holtsmeyer, both of Upper Marlboro, MD came in a tie for first place with nice 3lb porgies!

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass PM Captain Dave reports a very good afternoon of fishing in New Bedford! He says ” It’s Porgy Time!” He thinks it is the start of some really good porgy fishing! There is a new body of fish coming in, and we had them coming over the rails all afternoon! We had mostly big fish, nice porgies and a few very nice sea bass in the mix as well. The pool winner was Subbaiah Somaiah of the Bronx with a nice 3.5lb porgy. Thursday May 22

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a bit of a picky day on the porgy grounds. There were definitely fish around, but it was a slow steady pick. Some anglers did better than others, with mostly porgies and some sea bass in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Joel Jones of Hollis, NY with a nice 3.25lb porgy, and Miguel Eacheio of the Bronx, NY, who accidentally took one of the mates fishing rods but it was returned, won the second place pool with a 3.5lb sea bass.
