Half Day Fluke AM
Captain Joe reports good fishing today. We caught A bunch of fluke and sea bass. We even had a couple porgies as well. The pool winner was Jaime Widdler from Manhattan, NY with a 6.65lb fluke. The second place winner went to Vincent Santelia from Westchester, NY with a 6.25lb fluke.
Full Day Porgies
Capt Ant reports a beautiful day to harvest our local ocean porgy’s and we did just that. Fishing started strong but the breeze from the east put a halt to the drift in our first zone. We moved around for a bit and found some bigger scup and nice fluke to 7lbs and sea bass to 5lbs as well but again it shut down pretty quick. Our last drop was a complete annihilation of jumbos. With bellys full of mussels, the sweet porgy meat will be a treat to eat. The pool winner was Sandy Amanuel from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5lb porgy.
Half Day Fishing PM
Captain Joe reports a alright day of fishing. It was a slow pick with a couple nice fluke and some nice size sea bass. There were still fish coming up even after we lost the tide. The pool winner was Chang Kim from NYC with a 5.5lb fluke. The second place winner was John Tambunting from Westchester, NY with a 4lb fluke.
