Columbus Day Extended Moo Cow Special
Capt. Ant reports the perfect ending to a perfect week of Night Bass. And I mean perfect. Once again we limited out a full Starship of Bass Assassins!!!! The bite started later with the tide but was even more ferocious as we were pulling an average of 10-12 fish a drift. It was chaos at its finest, blood, tangles, yelling, screaming, laughing, rejoicing, everything that makes being a Party Boat captain one of the greatest jobs in the world!!!:) George Jehn led the way with 8 fish and a pair of 30’s. Gary Bigfish had 4, Jose Ruiz had 4, Paul Ryan complained as usual and still had 4, Steven Bento, well at least his nephew caught and also had 4. The one and only Lovely Lindsay came back again and only had one, but she’s lovely enough to make mention!!! Thank you guys for the after party at the fillet table!! Again fish were a mix of sizes but we had a couple more Behemoths. Chris Evers from Pound Ridge took the pool with a 44.09lb trophy and Stuart Kravette from Commack NY too a well deserved 2nd after I beat him up in the am trip with a 42lber. Two absolute beauties!!!!
So 4 out of 5 trips limited, actual proof that the Striped Bass population couldn’t be healthier, and another Epic week of fishing on the Mighty Viking Starship!!! So very grateful for my crew, Justin, Marissa and Phil, my kids…lol!!! Their energy, passion and drive, and shear talent on deck helped send people home with some fantastic memories of Montauk in the fall. Next night trip will be Thursday at 6p….reservations recommended!!!!!Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports its “full on porgy time!” We had a great day of porgy fishing today with nice big porgies. We also had some keeper cod and some sea bass in the mix along with a few blues. Today’s first place pool winner was Mike Smith of Queens with a 3lb porgy and in second was John Dong of Shirley NY with a 10lb blue.
