Fri April 22 to Sun April 24 – 2 Day Wreck Trip
Captain Steven Jr reports a good trip with a nice mix of wreck dwellers. Day one we spent on the deeper water wrecks and had a mix of pollock, tiles, hake, wreck fish and barrel fish. Unfortunately we had tons of the XL sea bass, that we had to throw back, on every wreck we went to. The second day we moved inshore to the cod wrecks and had good action on every drop, but we had a lot of smaller fish. Ron Armet put together a nice catch with a dozen cod, 10 pollock, plus a couple of tile and hake. Also, Tyler Quaresimo filled his cooler up with 15 cod, a dozen pollock, a couple tile, wreck fish and a nice barrel fish. The tile pool went to Bruce Wahl from Greenport, NY with a 26.2 pound fish. The cod pool went to Sal Polisi from West Islip with a 16.5 lb fish. The edible pool winner was Don Wetzel from Riverdale, NJ with a 22.5 lb wreck fish.
